I purchased this Live wire carrier vest to use with my safelife defense panels. The only issue is that I don't like the side opening options safelife had for their vests. When I saw a co-worker wearing this particular vest I knew it was better than the one I had. I decided to purchase this vest carrier and hands down it's the best carrier I've ever owned. If you have safelife defense panels and if you're interested in upgrading to this vest carrier I recommend buying one size up (my panels are size XL regular so I bought a 2XL carrier and it fit).

I bought this vest to wear on duty. The armor is lighter and thinner than what my department issued me, and it has a higher rating. The vest is comfortable and well thought out. Only 2 fixes i would do: move the microphone loop more forward on the shoulder, or add a loop high on the chest on each side and on the armor on the front, add a patch of velcro at the bottom like there is at the top to keep the armor in place better. Definately not a deal breaker and a fantastic piece of equipment, especially for the cost.
